[R129 SL] Convertable top rear window material

My SL500 soft top rear window got so discolored and bad looking I =
finally carefully removed it and both rear side windows entirely. Now I =
am on the hunt for the original, or an improved material which I can cut =
to fabricate new inserts to mount in the window spaces. The top itself =
is original and excellent so I do not want, or need a replacement. I =
have searched the web but found nothing so far.
Has anyone been there and done that? Suggestions and leads are =
appreciated.
