[Jacob-list] vaccinations

I just got a "rescue" sheep a few days ago... then watched it die. A friend helped me conclude it was probably clostridium and an unvaccinated animal. Fortunately it was quarantined- we are hoping our lambs will not catch it (vaccinated, but probably too young to have developed their immunities except what they get via milk) . I can tell that most members of this list are kind people- and those of you who are would never choose to watch such awful sickness and death rather than invest $2-3 to prevent it. And the animal crashed so fast that antibiotics couldn't reverse it. And no, we have never had any illnesses here other than a bummer lamb that developed a light touch of pneumonia once.
