In addition to what others have said - I HIGHLY recommend Laura Lawson's book - 'Managing your Ewe and her newborn lambs'.  She is very thorough and goes over a lot in the book.  

I am very fortunate to have a vet that is wonderful to work with.  He is always available to answer questions, throw ideas around, and do late night necropsies.  I also understand that finding sheep experienced vets is getting harder to do.  So you might find other sheep raisers in your area that you can learn from as well.  I strongly urge you to get a necropsy done to prevent any of your other sheep getting sick.
