That would be Caseous Lymphadenitis. We found an abcess on one of our sheep a few years back and had the vet come to take a sample of the pus. I read alot about CL while awaiting the pathology report (which was NEGATIVE for CL - thank goodness). Sheep don't drop dead from CL. If it's internal, they show signs of illness way before they die. They can have external abcesses and never become ill.
