Bandita! - we had one too in 2004 and she went first to live on a nearby llama farm and then was sold to Dennis Adams (near Cardington OH) Bandita's brothre was Ace for his pot on one side, and a 2004 half brother was McRiffic for his terrific pelt - he went to the Columbus OH zoo! I saw Bandita yesterday while delivering ducks to Dennis - he says she's his best dam.

I started out in 2003 thinking I would do Hebrew names too and we had Annette and her bro whose name I forgot as we did not have him long. But their 2003 half bro was Joyant, a big single who spent so much time jumping sideways, the name was a mix of Joy and Giant. I have since learned that all the healthy lambs jump every which way when happy.

iN 2005, we only had 3 ewes and 9 rams, so the first ewe was named Wanda as in I wanda how we got ANY ewes. Tavia was Octavia for her 8 big spots on one side and Traci started life as Trio with half brothers named Ramsey and Lewis. Nelson was Neal's son and a keeper ram and Rudy was Valentine's ram, also a keeper. Max was gorgeous and a keeper until I decided to get Heather's ram and I knew somone who lusted after Max for her flock. Spangler was Rudy's haf brother with a spot banner on his left side and won Reserve Breed CH at the local fair so he was sold (to Dennis). Duece had 2 big spots on one side, and Domino had so many that if you rolled him he would come up as a domino any whuch way. Mighty Moe was small and started life as Minnie Minoso (baseball.'s Mr Hustle before Pete Rose).

Last year we had an Easter ram - Luke Easter - only 2006 ram left, Claudia Wanda's sister with a claw mark on her flank, Andromeda - so many spots, Nadia and Natalie, Vern's twins, Belinda and Belana belle's twins, Cee-Cee a carbon capy of mon and and Frank Jr (of 4Horn Frank), Audacious, Dacia's ram by Max (sold to MI youth - first lamb to find a home in 06). I did not name the 3 lambs born to Bandita's mom and aunt as the lambs were presold and dams overwintered at Dennis' place (has 2004 ewes) to help him with flock management-my ewes are tamer and helped settle his skittish flock.

I have 27 lambs now and no names are set in stone yet. Claudia's ram has a V on his left side so he might get the name Victor. The Rudy son I may keep might be named Rudyard to help me remember his lineage. My most perfect ewe (Max's dam) has another nice ram by Nelson, so he will need a good name if he gets a flock home, Both Jill and Jane (original PineView ewes) have 4 beautiful lambs 3 with hearts on them - so they will need good names as will the lilac ewe also by Moonstruck Henry - Heather's nice ram.

I have a ram with a circle on his rt shoulder (by Nelson) and also a ewe with that mork by Rudy - no names for these yet - have a couple local kids interested in Jacobs and they might want to name their lambs if parents allow purchase.

I kept the limited liability corporation in tact, and kept the name for my "agricultural" endeavors. I still fool around with the taxidermy a little for a diversion..(the dead critters aren't near as demanding as the live ones can be) =)

As to the naming of the sheep.......last year was sort of random, this year we went with country music artist names with the exception of a lil' ewe who wears a mask.......Bandita!

This has been a great Jacob-List subject! Keep 'em coming....it's so interesting to learn the background behind some of your flock/farm names.
