If the ram is banging up the metal channel in your
horse barn, I don't consider him "a sweet honey of a
fella"! I consider him a danger! If he can bend a
metal channel in a horse barn, I don't think electric
and field fence will keep him in!

Perhaps this is the reason he "needed a home"?!?

I don't mean to sound harsh here, but the best choice
might be a livestock sale or processing for the
freezer.

You do not want to be injured, you also don't want a
visitor to your property injured. A ram can inflict
serious injury on a human -- whether through butting
or through a horn-related injury.
