[Jacob-list] What to do with horns?

I cut the horns off the dead ram. How should they be processed? Should I 
place them in a bag of salt? (I'm surprised at how "alive" they are!)

I'm thinking of using them (sliced into coins?) as cabinet pulls when we 
remodel the kitchen. Any websites to look at for "things to do with horns?"

Also, I don't know how long he has been dead (I was out of town for the 
weekend, and my husband, who fed everyone can't specfically remember the 
last time he saw the ram) although the exudite from his nose is very 
smelly! and I'm not sure what to do with the carcass. Feed to the dogs? 
Put in the dumpster? He just got sheered last Tuesday, so I don't know 
if it's worth doing anything with the hide.

Again, any suggestions?
