Very interesting reading, about that perfect ram. I have been looking for
the perfect ewe. I don't have the room for one right now and I can't
afford one right now; but who knows, if there is a sudden death (hope not)
then there will be an opening. Here is a description of the kind of Jacob
that I have in mind:
>
Medium sized ewe, four perfectly-formed BIG horns, no small laterals; wool
strands about 8-10 inches long, oh what the heck, 12 inches long. The 60%
white, 40% black and I mean black, not the tri-color where the outer wool
turns reddish-brown in sunlight. The white is a bright white, not the
off-white color. Lots of spots on body, knee spots and hock spots. Nice
black color around most of the neck. White face blaze, black ears, black
nose and mouth, probably the tongue. Blue eyes, of course. This ewe
always will have healthy twin lambs and they all will look like her <grin>.
Nice, gentle temperament. I probably forgot something. Anybody raise
Jacobs that look like this? If so, you're lucky!! I'm not buying right
now, I just want to know if this perfect ewe, or ram, is out there? My
sheep are a mixture of the above. If I could take certain parts off of
each sheep, I would have the perfect ewe I described above.

Happy with what I have, but can dream....
