[Jacob-list] wool for compost & mulch

Hi,
Can't say how wool does as mulch in a compost
pile---Animal wool that is buried with an animal is
gone fairly shortly---few months----after burial I
know.
I can warn anybody who would like to mulch their
garden with wool of the following: (1) wool retains
heat, and as such will kill off most of the nasty
weeds in your walkways----that same heat will also
kill off the little seeds in your garden rows and they
won't germinate. (2) wool that has not completely
mulched up entangles itself in tiller tines with great
dexterity---resembling something very similar to
felted tines by the time you get very far----and let
me tell you that felted tines don't till well, and
they are the DEVIL to get clean again.
