[Jacob-list] wool for compost & mulch

Betty B. mentioned using wool for compost. Does it work? Is there a maximum
you can place in a layer in your pile? 

 

How about using it as a mulch around plants? Has anyone tried that? 

 

With Lots of skirted wool lying around the place,
