IMO, it sounds like she was choking.  And it sounds like you did the right
thing trying the Heimlich maneuver.  The Red Cross has a book on Pet First
Aid.  Doing the Heimlich manuever on sheep would likely be the same as for
a dog or cat.  You're basically trying to push air out to push the
obstruction out of the way.  For directions and pictures, click on
