Hi Neal and Betty and listers,

A few years back, I put a black/white ewe (carried
lilac gene from her sire) on a gray Shetland ram. The
two ram lambs that were born were: (a) white with a
couple tiny brown spots on the lower legs, and (b)
white with freckling or tiny black spots (like freckle
spots instead of REAL small spots). In short, there
was enough color (and the eyes were colored) to
realize these were not albino sheep. They DEFINITELY
were not black with the white topnot. The lambs were
sold as wethers to some people who lived over between
Neal and myself---haven't a clue who they were nor how
to see if the animals are still alive at this point.
