    We bought plastic tubing, about 4" in diameter, from our local 
hardware store (Home Depot).  I cut down the center and placed it around 
the trunks of our trees.  It has worked well.  The down side is, it 
needs to be tall, because the corragated plastic also works well if the 
sheep want a better grip to stand up and reach higher spots.  My husband 
says spraying some dried hot pepper powder also helps to keep noses away.
    P.S.  What is a tub??
