[Jacob-list] Social Behavior

Yesterday my daughter of nine years went out to rescue a young calf that had 
gotten out and was in with the larger animals. She feared the playful steer 
and bull may harm the recently born calf. I became a bit hesitant of her being 
in the field, as the bull approached her. This was a bit of social behavior 
that I found interesting. Our milking cow proceeding to circle around my daughter 
and place herself neatly in between her and the bull. Then our 24 year old 
Arabian also circled around and blocked the door, making a neat and safe exit 
for my daughter. What a blessing that they saw her as a part of their social 
group. Ahh- the hand of God. Merry Christmas to all and a blessed New Year.
