It's not only strange, it's down right unfortunate.  Our farm is located in a
part of Pennsylvania that is considered to be "the middle of nowhere" by the
rest of the state (and we thank God for that!).  The area has a few small
cities, about 12,000 population in each at most, with farms surrounding
everything.  County populations tend to be around 40,000 people.  My point is
that we are not "big city" oriented and even those who live "in town" are not
that far "out of town."  But, I kid you not, when I said something the other
day to my wife while "in town" shopping at a grocery store about drinking
milk from our cows (we are just getting into dairying in addition to
everything else), a small boy near us said to his mom that  he was "glad we
buy our milk at the store" because he "just couldn't drink something that
came from a cow."  Imagine!

Talk about a sad state of our culture!
