The observation of the horn growth and the question to trim or not is very 
difficult during the first two years.  The horn growth for lambs and 
yearlings can change and sometimes appears to change suddenly.  The growth 
during the first two years is probably 75% of its growth and then it begins 
to slow significantly.  This is a strong argument for waiting for ram lambs 
to develop.
