Gentle People,
argus-2.0.0G is now available. This release fixes a number of
bugs that have been reported in the last week. One in particular
is/was an incompatibility between Solaris and Linux data. The
fix moves some things around in the Argus Record, and so
you should test "G" primarily against "G" data.
Most of the fixes are related to ra* style option usage,
and of course, last BUT NOT LEAST:
argus-2.0.0G completely supports SASL data encryption. "F"
provided SASL authentication, and "G" provides on the wire
argus data encryption. This is very cool. To test this feature
you will need to have the SASL packet installed and then, modify
the "Makefiles" that are generated by the ./configure scripts, to
include the basic information that you will find in the Makefile.sasl
files in each directory. It's pretty straight forward if you have SASL
experience. If you are having any problems with this, please send
me mail.
