"Seeing that you have been a loyal customer since September, 2004, the iTunes Store would like to give you the opportunity to redownload (at no charge) all the titles you purchased on this account that are still available... Please note that you may download your purchases only once, so this is an exception. Also note that Apple does not offer protection for the loss of data from your hard disk, so I recommend that you back up your iTunes library as soon as possible and thereafter on a regular basis."

Peter Kafka, All Things Digital
Would you pay $30 a month to watch TV via iTunes? Thatâs the pitch Apple has been making to TV networks in recent weeks. The company is trying to round up support for a monthly subscription service that would deliver TV programs via its multimedia software, multiple sources tell me.

Christopher Breen, Macworld
Macs and their power adapters areâand have been for as long as I can rememberâbuilt to support 110 â 240 Volts. So, out of the box, you can jack your Mac mini or MacBook into just about any outlet you come across without fear of melting the thing. Where the country-of-purchase makes a difference is in the kind of plug that appears at the end of that power adapter. And thatâs what you need to change.

Theyâve been married for ten years and for a long time everything was O.K.âswellâbut now they argue. Now they argue quite a lot. Itâs really all the same argument. It has circularity. It is, Ray thinks, like a dog track. When they argue, theyâre like greyhounds chasing the mechanical rabbit. You go past the same scenery time after time, but you donât see it. You see the rabbit.

**** On Medical Leave And The Employee <http://singaporeaspirations.blogspot.com/2009/11/on-medical-leave-and-employee.html>
Singapore Aspirations
Why do employers in Singapore treat their employees in this way? Well, Singapore employers claim they are afraid that medical leave benefits will be abused, resulting in a loss of productivity at work. But if we think about it, the prevailing system in Singapore doesnât really do much to prevent the abuse of medical leave benefits. Most companies will concede that employees who are determined to use up all their medical leave, will do so anyway whether or not their employers require them to see a doctor and obtain medical certification.

District judge Toh Yung Cheong granted the prosecution a last minute application to vacate a set of hearing dates because the police needed their witnesses for duty next week during the APEC meeting.
Contrast this with the warrant of arrest he issued for Dr Chee Soon Juan when the SDP secretary-general had to attend his father-in-law's funeral in Taiwan in June this year. Even after he was notified of the death, Judge Toh initially refused to rescind the warrant of arrest.
