[R129 SL] How do I adjust the vertical felt window seal on my SL500 ?

My 2001 SL, since new, NEVER WASHED with water, but with my spray wipe
invention below.

This way you'll not get any water into car whilst washing.

Any idea on this one?  The vertical felt seat on the passenger side is no
linger tightly sealing against the window. We are getting wind noise and
droplets in the car when washing it. I have taken a look at it but I don't
see any obvious way to adjust it. The seal at the top of the window is fine,
it is just the seal against the side of the window near the outside corner
of the window.
