[R129 SL] SL320 Overheating

My 320 with 60k miles overheated in traffic or when otherwise stopped.  
After replacing the thermostat with no effect, I replaced the water pump and  
found the rotor significantly worn down, IMHO enough to not produce an 
effective  or sufficient water flow. Replacement with a new pump has solved the 
problem for  45k miles, so far.
