[R129 SL] Tires

I've generally been a fan of Michelin Pilots-- and put them on both my 560SL's and more recently a 300SL - - with normal driving and not alot of vigilance, they're good for 25-30k miles with a cost through Discount Tire in AZ of about $700+

Recently, I put a set of Cooper Z-rated tires on the 300SL... about $150-200 less . . .they look great - -wear should be comparable but a bit harder ride.
