[R129 SL] Front End Shimmy

Hello SLers:

My SL320 has a shimmy in the front end.  It starts to shimmy at about 68mph
stops at around 80mph.

I had the wheels balanced and the tires rotated, and the shimmy was not
affected in any way.

Does anyone have a heads up for me about what this could be?  Are there
front end parts that are known to go bad or need adjustment after 112,000
miles?

I just would like to have an educated guess before I give my indie guy the
car to fix.
