Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.  My lust for an SL has been
quenched.

One of the two local MB dealers had a 1995 SL320 which I bought today.  It
has 94k miles.  It was just off Starmark and had the big bugaboos for the
M104 and R129 addressed prior.  At 92k, the evaporator was replaced, the
head gasket was replaced, and the "mouse-proof" wiring harness was replaced=
.
At 75k, the front lower seal was replaced.

It is a local two owner car, with all service performed at the dealer.
While no longer under Starmark, those repairs have the standard dealer
warranty.

I got the car at a really good price, I thought, so I very happy about it.

Now, my issues are can I get a good price (and quickly) on my 124 300TD, my
motorcycle, and what's the best way to manage the hard top?
