Nope, there's no child switch in a R129 SL. I have a 1997 SL500 Sport
sitting here in the driveway. Why would they put a child safety switch
in it anyhow?
The only possible switches in the center console are the power mirror
switch on the upper left, the soft top switch on the upper right, heated
seat left and right switches below that, and finally, power window
switches below the heated seat switches.
Again, there is NO child safety switch in a 1997 SL500.

I don't recall for sure, and I'm in a different town than my '97 SL at
present, or I'd trot down to the garage and look.
I want to say it's on the console between the driver's-side window
switch and the driver's side bun-warmer switch. Little-bitty switch
maybe 1 square centimeter. But that'd be relying on my memory, and
that's never a safe bet.
But when I un-flipped it, the passenger seatbelt worked normally, so I
know it's somewhere. At least on my '97. Can't be sure on a '91.

irritated that my passenger-side seat belt would tension, but never
loosen. Turned out that the kid-safe switch was flipped over to "kid

lowering the window all the way and perhaps climbing out all because of
the one touch of a button.

Can anybody tell me why my passenger side electric window does not
automatically go down when the button is pressed down hard then
released, I have to keep my finger pressed down on the switch otherwise
the window stops going down. I have changed the electric window switch
but it is still the same, any ideas!
