[R129 SL] Dumb question about the windscreen

Not sure.  Somewhere I thought someone mentioned that the case was only
supplemental and that it's not used in the trunk but only if one takes
the windscreen out of the car for storage.  I'm not sure though.
Perhaps an MB dealership's parts department may have a clue (doubt it).

I just purchased a pre-owned '92 500SL.  I can't figure out how the case
for the windscreen is supposed to attach to the trunk - there are straps
and latches all over the place but I can't see how they go together.
