Winter Weather Advisory for
Winchester, Massachusetts

...Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight to 6 PM EST
Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Taunton MA has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory. This advisory includes Massachusetts north of the
Mass Pike as well as the city of Boston.

Light snow may affect Massachusetts north of the Mass Pike...
including Boston...from late this morning into the afternoon but
accumulations will be limited to an inch or less.

Steadier snow will reach northern Massachusetts late tonight and
accumulate 1 to 4 inches by daybreak Thursday.

Snow will mix and change to sleet and freezing rain from Boston to
the North Shore and Merrimack valley Thursday afternoon...with a
change to rain taking place in Boston by late afternoon. Total
accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected along with some icing.

Farther inland across north central and northwest Massachusetts...
snow will mix with sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon. Total
accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected with some icing as well.

This combination of snow and ice will make travel hazardous late
tonight and Thursday.
