  I don't know about the Elgeet lens but my TeleOptar falls
apart beyond about an 8 inch circle. It would work as a
telephoto for 5x7 but not larger even though it will
illuminate an 8x10. It was really designed for 4x5 and for
that size is an excellent lens.
  Elgeet seems to have made mainly high quality projection
lenses and enlarging lenses but obviously made other kinds
also.
