Yes Uncle Dick,

I have had no problems with wobbling or anything when using big'n'heavy lenses
on my Technika (which is a 5x7", with larger lensboards or "normal" ones with
adapter) or on my Linhof Color (which is basically a Technika chopped in half
and mounted on a monorail).

Since my lenses include weighty items like a 360mm/f:5.6 Tele-Xenar or (even
heavier) a 300mm/f:4.5 Xenar, I somehow doubt that there are other lenses
which will prove more of a strain.

Speaking of strain, I was thinking of using a Campbell's Tomato Soup can for
an extender, after straining off the lumps. But they're narrower than the
300mm, which needs some kind of "reverse adapter" to fit on the measly
4x5"-technika-lensboard.

My colleague right rext to me here in the office has a stainless steel coffee
mug which would be just perfect. But I'm afraid that would be a strain on the
relationship...

On that other subject, I do not recall ever having tried behemoth - although I
have seen and photographed some. Unlike leviathan, which it has been my
pleasure to partake of - and also to photograph. Well, a smaller relative of
his, at least...

>Ahem. Did you really mean to admit that? Okay, the occasional cocktail
