What sort of filter, Vince?  It actually wouldn't be hard for me to run a
line from the garage to the darkroom.  Are they [hideously] expensive?

Now that's a *great* idea! Sounds like a job for a couple of pieces of scrap
mat board.

Unfortunately, these are not inconsequential.  Judging from their shape, I
think they may be some sort of lint, possibly from whatever shirt I was
wearing. They're like tiny threads, which is going to make them a real bear
to spot.

You're right, of course.  Just my luck to be in Yosemite with no clouds to
hide such imperfections  for four days in a row!
