It works for focusing, but it sure makes movements weird, since the
nodal point of the lens is no longer at the axes of the camera
movements.  As you swing or tilt, the image will move across the GG -
you'll then have to recompose.  OTOH, it beats not being able to use the
lens!

Thanks for the tip. A sort of lens board "box" is an idea I am 
considering as well.
