Vincent, you won't need the D5 - in heaven, everyone will shoot mammoth
formats since transport, film availability (and certainly cost) will be no
problem :)

I find the same thing. I am flying in the exact opposite direction to
digital and using technologies that are more and more old-fashioned. Reading
an article in the present View Camera has reignited my interest in Packard
shutters - why exclude barrel lenses, or pay a lot of money to have them
installed in "modern" :) shutters? Today, I took a 210mm Luettke & Arndt
Extra Rapid Aplanat lens (with a barely functioning shutter) and disabled
the shutter leaving it open so that I can use the lens with a hat-shutter.

Congratulations on the new camera.

BTW: The Linhof Techknica is on my list of favorites over $4500 :)
