The dye transfer printing process was continued until the mid 1970's.
Technicolor is trying to reintroduce the printing process now.

I've been reading these posts with regards to WWII with interest.

I have a print that was made into a TV guide cover which says on the
back "Eastman Dye Transfer" or something like that.  The print was
apparently sent to the TV stations as a promotion for the show.  I've
always wondered about the Dye Transfer process.

The TV guide is dated Nov. 19-25, 1966.
