My guess is that "Miglied" is a typo for "Mitglied". If so, Herr Schmidt is an associate member and advisor to the museum - which makes 
sense, I guess.

As for "Aufnahme", this usually means "recording" or similar. In other words, this volume is equivalent to "The Print" and "The Negative", in 
Adams'y terms. 

More excerpts will follow; but not today. There is a very interesting section on cameras and lenses of the time, including illustrations of 
everything from the very first SLR's (5x7", no less) to Goertz Dagor's through "Atelierkameras" (50x60 cm, for formal portraits)...
