Thanks Pete and Lee for the useful advice.

The Gordon Hutchings book sounds as though it will be worth its
weight in gold as a bible for the process.

I haven't mixed the developer yet as it was the rubber gloves that
seemed essential from what I have read about using Pyro. The
chemicals were bought from Silverprint here in the UK and have a
Silverprint label on the packet. The packet form that I have is made
by Speedibrews. There are plenty of warnings about Sodium Metaborate
on the packaging!

The instructions that came with the package are reasonably clear,
however there are many recommendations to buy the Hutchings book
scattered liberally throughout the text.

The instructions recommend exposing HP5+ 120 at 250 ASA so it seems
that overexposure is as you suggest a useful way forwards. I was
hoping to develop some 8x10 film from a recent shoot but it seems
that it may be a better idea to shoot for the developer.

Guess the introduction to Pyro will have to wait for a while longer -
at least until I have some appropriately exposed film and maybe also
the book. Do either of you guys have any photos on the web from Pyro
developed negs?

Thanks again,

Cheers,
