I'm just starting in large format and I sure understand this statement, the
price you have to pay to get started is way out of reach of most people (me
included) who wants to give it a try. I'm now at the stage where I have to
build everything myself if I want to do it.....but a lens is a bit
difficult!!!
So I support this idea all the way!

A fungus stained lens right now would sure be a benidiction!!!!
