I use leather shoe cream to revive leather coats and have it on leather bellows. It softens the leather and improves the colour. If the leather is really shabby I treat it first with suede shoe dye; it works very well on gloss leather that has become frayed, followed by the leather cream. Important to rub it off afterwards unless you like black on your shirt. Philip
