The Jacob Sheep Breeders Association (JSBA) is pleased to announce that Linda Bjarkman has accepted appointment to the position of JSBA registrar. Effective November 1, 2017, Linda will perform all duties previously performed by accuRegister. Linda's appointment allows JSBA to continue to accept and process, without a break in service to JSBA members, applications for registration and requests for transfer of ownership, duplicate certificates, and temporary lamb certificates.
* JSBA is working to develop capabilities for online submission of applications for registration, but these likely will not be available on November 1. JSBA members will be informed when they may submit online applications.
Beginning November 1, 2017, applications for registration and other services performed by the JSBA registrar, as well as payment for fees appropriate for these services, should be submitted to Linda, NOT TO accuRegister. Payments may be made by bank or cashier's check written to JSBA (preferably not cash) and mailed to Linda; alternatively, payments may be made using JSBA PayPal available via the JSBA website (JSBA.org).
Application for registration
* The updated application form is available on the JSBA website.
* The application may be filled in from the website and printed, or the blank form may be printed and filled in by hand. Applications filled in from the website also may be printed and scanned or directly saved as a pdf for e-mail submission.
* Hard-copy applications and photographs should be mailed to the following address:
JSBA/Linda Bjarkman
1197 Eastman Mountain Road
Tiger, GA 30576
* Alternatively, completed applications including photographs may be sent as attachments to the following e-mail address:
jsbaapplications at gmail.com
* JSBA members are encouraged to use the e-mail option, when possible. Receipt by the registrar of digitized applications and photographs will facilitate the registration process.
* JSBA will accept a completed application form saved as a pdf from the website and submitted via e-mail without a breeder/owner signature on the second page if the person making the submission is a JSBA member.
* Breeding certificates submitted either in hard copy or via e-mail must have the breeder's signature.
* Ram wool samples should be mailed to the address provided above.
Transfer of ownership
* The registration certificate, with information on the new owner and signed by the seller, should be mailed to the registrar.
* Payment may be enclosed with the request for transfer or made using JSBA PayPal available via the JSBA website.
Temporary lamb certificates and requests for duplicate certificates
* Hard-copy requests may be mailed to the registrar or submitted as attachments via e-mail. Payments are as described for other services.
