[Jacob-list] General Feeding Question

Hi everyone,

I have a general feeding question I am hoping someone can answer:

My Jacobs are given free choice alfalpha grass (that is all I could get
economically this fall - pasture grass was 2-3 times more expensive).  This
summer they were pasture grass grazed.

But they are skinny (I can feel hip bones and on some the ribs don't have a
layer over them)  I just dewormed them thinking they may not be converting
the food right from worms.  Should I be feeding grains or all purpose
stockfeed to get some weight on them?

I was giving them a sheep mineral block - but the goats were standing on it
and the sheep ate it in a month so I wasn't sure if they were getting to
much of the minerals.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
