Besides, it takes so much out of them to nurse their young, I couldn't imagine trying to milk more, unless a ewe lost a lamb. Marie has expressed milk from them when necessary (too hard for lamb to nurse, etc.) but it is not an easy thing to do!

I agree. The Jacob breed is suppose to have small teats
on the ewes and this would make it very difficult to milk them.

After milking dairy goats, I wouldn't even want to try and milk a Jacob.
Teats are too small, the sheep are too jumpy. Just my opinion.
