We are in a very selenium deficient area, and I have never needed to use
boSe. So far just making sure that the sheep have consistent access to a
 high quality loose mineral all year has been enough to prevent white
muscle, and other selenium deficiency induced problems. The hardest part is
locating a good source of loose mineral. I don't like blocks as they wear
out the teeth.
