[Jacob-list] red ants

That's a good question. I hadn't actually thought of them as being
beneficial. These aren't fire ants, but they do bite and they seem to be
everywhere. I was checking the fence line and they were all over my feet
and legs. Not particularly anything but an annoyance, but I wondered
about the sheep disturbing a nest. (You are correct that fire ants can
do serious injury). .
