[Jacob-list] Yarn Pricing

Hello All,

 

I just got back my yarn (2 ply sport weight, variegated brown)  and I have a
couple of questions:

 

                Do I need to wash it before selling?  It feels softer than a
lot of the stuff that is sold in yarn shops.

 

How do I price it?  The skeins  are roughly 120 yds each, but there is quite
a bit of variation.  I don't have an ounce scale, just a yardstick.  Can I
sell it by the yard? 

 

 How much is  reasonable for wholesale (yarn shops) and retail (co-workers)?
