[Jacob-list] positioning sick sheep

My neighbor made a nifty sling using thick rubber sheeting attached to what
looked like a TV tray stand or folding saw horse (but sturdier.) It folds
up for storage. He sewed the sheeting on so it would sag to conform to sheep
belly and come well up the sides when the stand was opened. He cut out holes
for legs and areas to let urine and feces drop to the bedding. It really was
pretty nifty to use, with the main challenge being that some sheep are
taller than others. Once they are ready to start bearing a little weight,
you want feet to land on something. And, of course, you want the sheep out
of there before it gallops across the pasture with the sling underneath it!
