I'll just tell everyone what I replied to Sue a couple of days ago about
my experiences using herbal wormer for my sheep as an FYI. I use
Hoegger's Herbal wormer from the Hoegger Goat Supply Co. for sheep in the
same ratio used for goats. They have on their website the results of a
study that was published in the United Caprine News:
http://www.hoeggergoatsupply.com/info/report.shtml
It was proven to be more effective than Ivomec for most types of worms. I
think it was slightly less effective for lungworms, but I worm chemically
twice a year anyway (at breeding and shearing) and I still don't have any
problems with coughing, etc. I'm finding through frequent FAMACHA
check-ups that it is also effective against barber-pole worms.
