[Jacob-list] Flock Reduction

Hi all,

We are still in an effort to reduce our flock down by about half. We are
going through the butcher lambs, and thinning there first, but we do need to
get some ewes sold. Everything we have left is still here because they are
ones that I really don't want to part with. All nice sheep, no culls, and I
follow very strict health protocols (my mom swears I'm germaphobic!). We
decided to expose a good portion of the flock to our rams this fall. I
really am happy with our rams for this year. I am hoping to get some bred
ewes sold, but if nothing else we will have some very nice butcher lambs
this spring. If there are any ewes, even ewes that are not on the list that
any of you are interested in, all offers are being considered. Also I will
allow specific ewes to go to good homes at below market value to avoid
having to run anything through the auction. The way I look at it, I might as
well butcher them than run them through the auction, either way the genetics
are lost and at least they wouldn't have to be stressed or possibly
neglected.

Thank you so much for your time

Lynette Frick
