I have a 4 yo ewe, carrying twins, according to ultra sound she is due next
week, but has significant milk on one side of the udder.. not so much on the
other.....this is her 2nd pregnancy.

At shearing, last week, we noticed she was a little thin. Over the last 2
days, she looked worse.. We put her up with the ewes due in the next few days
to let her have a bit more to eat. Her behavior has been a little off.. but
she has always been a very odd sheep.

Today while cleaning up the twin ewe lambs that another ewe delivered, I had
a chance to watch her.. She seemed humped up, and she was shivering... When
I fed grain, she seemed eager, but didn't clean it up.

I took her temp, 101.7 respirations normal.. Just seemed a bit depressed. I
penned her separate, wondering if she is being bullied, gave her an adult
dose of Nutri-Drench (it has propylene glycol in it) and offered her the really
good horse alfalfa. She did dig into it.

Any insight? She may just be close to lambing, but the shivering, I don't
get...The lack of milk on one side is a bit concerning, but her attitude is
the most. She is sunk in significantly on either side of her tail head. But
her backbone is more prevalent.. more so than it was last weekend....

Still a rookie at this,
