NC is an old category and stands for Non-conforming. This is taken from the Guidebook:
This recording category is no longer in use by JSBA. It was initially used for ewes possessing sufficient Jacob traits to warrant conservation but which did not pass inspection. These ewes are not listed in any flock book and no certificates of registration were issued. They are identified by the prefix NC, a number followed by X. ...Ewe progeny from these non-conforming ewes bred to registered rams will continue to be considered for inclusion into the Appendix Certified AC section of the flock book after passing inspection.
AC Appendix Certified:
AC'd ewes are considered purebred but do not, for reasons such as color or marking, meet the breed standard. Ewe progeny (no rams) from registered parents of any generation which do not conform to the breed standard, can be placed into the AC category. All progeny (male or female) afrom AC'd ewes, bred to registered rams, are eligible for inclusion into the Foundation Flock (FF) after passing inspection. Rams cannot be recorded into AC category. They can only be passed or failed.

I couldn't get on the Internet for a couple days then first thing I did this morning was go to JSBA.org and guess what I found - I was thinking I've been asleep for years because I didn't remember seeing the registration info there before.
It was the best present I've had in a long time!!!! Thank you Robin and Linda - GREAT ITEM!
One question - what does AC or NC stand for (found on olllllllddddd registrations)

We have exciting news! You can now see pedigrees of JSBA (Jacob Sheep Breeders Assoc.) registered sheep on-line. There are other great features as well. You can click on Breeding Information and find out sire, dam, siblings, and half siblings. Click on Reverse Pedigree to see the offspring of a particular sheep. You can create Trial Pedigrees by choosing any registered ram and ewe. You can access this information by going to www.jsba.org and clicking on Pedigree Search.
Thanks to Linda Bjarkman for linking the JSBA database to this service. The Pedigree Search will be updated periodically when I send new information to Linda. .If you have questions contact me, Robin Lynde.
