[Jacob-list] Story about sheep and fox

Well, one story I keep hoping Marie will write but hasn't so not that I have a minute I will tell...
A week or so ago, Marie came in the house and said, "Mom, look what I found out in the rams pen.." and she showed me the back leg bones of a small animal, and she showed me the tufts of red fur, and said it was a red fox - it must have gotten into the pen with the rams and they made short work of it!  We have seen fox a lot here, one taking away a rooster as big as it till Marie chased it and it got too tired running with the heavy bird in its mouth!  So, anyway, the rams seem to protect themselves well enough!  We have seen another time a year or so ago where there was blood all over the place in the sheep pen (all were together then) but no sheep was hurt - so I thought maybe a fox got in there then, Marie thinks maybe a coyote (which we can hear howling at our house across the road) and the sheep protected themselves!  Haven't lost any lambs to a fox yet either, think the moms are so protective of their babies that a fox wouldn't dare!
