That's not at all correct and actually never was. Some people feel/felt that because JSC accepted rams with unbalanced horn sets and did not require a fleece sample on rams that it was easier to get registered with JSC. I suppose that would be true if you had a ram with a 21 micron fleece. (JSBA does not require fleece samples for ewes). JSC requires a progeny test for sheep without JSC registered parents. JSBA leaves the progeny testing to its members. I think JSC was stricter on some issues (I was a certifier for JSC at one time), like pink on on the nose, unbroken collar, a couple of other things than JSBA. I registered in both and honestly don't believe that one was "easier" than the other and still hope to be raising sheep that are registerable in both. JSC has been somewhat inactive for abit, but is working to revitalize the organization.
