I only feed COB in the spring. During the last month
before birth and all during lactation they get cob,
alfalfa pellets and grass hay. I personally have not
found that flushing before breeding does anything for
my sheep. I only do the supplements when they are
totally involved in the birth process cause you do not
want them to get fat and have trouble birthing. I
find if I do not grain them with the nursing they just
get too thin and run down. Victoria
